Sireen earned her B.A. in Political Science from California Polytechnic Institute of Pomona. For two years, she served as a delegate in the National Model United Nations program. She has spoken extensively on the misconceptions of Islam and Muslims, bias in the media and hate to over 1,000 students in Los Angeles County. Sireen has coordinated activities with the Department of Homeland Security and local law enforcement. As a leading voice of the American Muslim community, she has strategized with coalitions and lobbied legislation that affects the Muslim community residing in the U.S. Sireen has facilitated numerous cultural sensitivity trainings with local and national law enforcement and continues to do so. Sireen is a member of MCAC, the Multicultural Advisory Committee of the FBI, which meets monthly. Sireen has appeared on CNN, C-SPAN, KCAL, KABC, KPFK, KFWB and more. On several occasions, she has spoken on the USA PATRIOT Act and related issues to groups, including Fuller Seminary, UCLA, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Fullerton, the Islamic Center of Southern California, the Shalom Community, and the Japanese American community. Sireen is also an active member of Elev8, an organization dedicated to socially and politically empowering youth using education and the arts.
