Ayesha Lemu, an English woman was formerly Bridget A. Honey.
She accepted Islam in 1961.
She completed her education from University of London.
She was the Principal of Government Girls College, Sokoto, from 1968 to 1976 and the Principal of WomenҒs Teachers College, Minna, from 1976 to 1977.
She taught Islamic studies throughout these periods, and has written several books and articles on Islamic topics.
She is the first Amirah of FOMWAN, (Federation Of Muslim Women Associations In Nigeria).
She is now the Director of the Islamic Education Trust, Minna.
