Muslim or Christian What’s the Difference, the Muslims Are at Fault

by Sheila Musaji

The Jihad Watch site recently posted an article about an Arab Israeli Knesset member who had sold secrets to Hisballah.

In the article Robert Spencer comments that:  “I have maintained from the beginning of this site and before that that there is no reliable way to distinguish a “moderate” Muslim who rejects the jihad ideology and Islamic supremacism from a “radical” Muslim who holds such ideas, even if he isn’t acting upon them at the moment. And the cluelessness and multiculturalism of Western officialdom, which make officials shy away from even asking pointed questions, only compound this problem.”

Then when the news came out that the Knesset member involved was Christian and not Muslim, a “correction” was posted:  “I have been reminded that Bishara is a Christian, which makes him instead of a false moderate, an example of what Hugh calls an “islamochristian,” or a dhimmi Christian who has imbibed the values of his Muslim overlords. I apologize for the error.”

Amazing logic here.  If a Muslim did it, he’s guilty.  And, even those Muslims who are not guilty right now are just temporarily not acting on their negative impulses.  If a Christian did it, he was corrupted by the Muslims.

Actually there have been a number of cases of Jewish and/or Israeli spying against the U.S.  AIPAC, Jack Abramoff, David Tenenbaum, Petty Officer 3rd Class Ariel J. Weinmann, Jonathan PollardSteven Rosen, Keith Weissman   (Note: the trial of Rosen and Weissman is scheduled to begin in the U.S. Courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia on April 29, 2008.), Lawrence Anthony Franklin, and some 60 Israelis, who federal investigators have said are part of a long-running effort to spy on American government officials, were among the hundreds of foreigners detained since the Sept. 11 terror attacks, Source: Fox News

According to Spencer’s tortured logic either we need to keep looking for some Muslim connection that has influenced these poor souls, or we need to recognize that there is no way to distinguish between loyal Jews and disloyal Jews and therefore suspect them all - because after all even the loyal ones are just not acting on their natural tendency towards disloyalty at the moment.

This is demonization of an entire group, and it is dangerous and wrong.

I don’t have a Masters degree like Robert Spencer, but I have enough intelligence to see that this sort of bias and distorted logic will lead us down very dark pathways.
