Shazia trained at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama in London and works full time as a writer, actor, and stand up comedian.

Shazia is in HUGE International demand, and in 2003 performed her own Total sell out shows in:

Berlin Germany , Copenhagen and Odense in Denmark ,Geel Belgium ,

San Fransisco (Herbst Theatre), The Hotel Du Nord Paris,

The Edinburgh Festival Scotland, Stockholm Sweden (Sodra Teatern), The Arosa Comedy Festival Switzerland, Prishtina and Prizren in Kosova.

Shazia has received TV and press coverage from all European and Scandinavian countries, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South East Asia, and the Far East. In 2004 Shazia completed tours of the following countries with her own show, all tours are a Total sell out

USA: Detroit Michigan, New York City, Modena Italy, Zurich Swizerland (Bernhard Theatre) The Halifax Comedy Festival Canada (which was filmed for CBC television)The Edinburgh Festival Scotland, tour of Holland which included the following cities:Tilburgh, Maastricht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Breda, Nijmegen, Den Haag, Eindhoven,& Oss

Besame Mucho, Switzerland then a national tour of Sweden which included the following cities: Gothenburg, Umea, Sundsvall, Stockholm, Uppsala, Kristianstad, Karlshamn, Vaxjo.

Shazia has performed at The Royal Albert Hall in the Vagina monologues , Eve Ensler asked her to write her own monologue for the show, which she performed with Isabella Rossellini, Maureen Lipman, Meera Syal, Dannii Minogue, and Anita Dobson.

TELEVISION has included writing and presenting ё10 Things you always wanted to know about Islam (But were afraid to ask) for BBC1, Have I got News for You (BBC) Richard and Judy (Channel 4) and a talking head on The 100 worst Pop songs (Channel 4) The 100 scariest moments (channel 4), 100 Greatest musicals (channel 4) Greatest TV moments (Channel 5) Great Britons (Channel 4) and The Vicar of Dibley 10 th Anniversary special (Channel 5). Joan Bakewell’s Taboo , and profiled alongside Film director Gurinder Chadha on Big dreams breaking the mould’ (BBC2), Network East late show (BBC2)

Appeared a panellist on Mind Games (BBC3 Series I and 2)

Performed stand up Comedy on Mega Mela Malai (BBC1), The Best of The London Comedy Festival Including The London Palladium (LWT), Take the Mike (ITVI).

Internationally Oprah Winfrey’s Oxygen Channel have filmed a profile on her, as have Danish, French, German and Swedish Networks. She recently appeared on French TV5s Tout Le Monde En Parle which is the top rating Saturday night light entertainment TV show in France.

She has also performed stand up comedy on ёStockholm Live’- The Swedish stand up show on TV2.

Shazia recently recorded a programme called With Great Pleasure’ - a literary version of Desert Island Discs for BBC Radio 4 which will be transmitted In January 2005.

Shazia has performed stand up Comedy on 28 Acts in 28 minutes transmitted on BBC3 at 9.30pm in February 2005.

In the USA Shazia’s career is also taking off. She was recently profiled on CBS ѓ60 MINUTES as well recording her stand up for Comedy Central’s The world Stands Up (To be transmitted November 2004).

Shazia also recently played Saddam Hussain’s Wife in ԑThe off Broadway production of The Ruler of Saddam’ and she is looking to concentrate on working in film.

In 2005 Shazia will be performing a new show and tour of Pakistan, Australia, USA, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
