Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the NBAҒs all-time leading legendary scorer. He was NBA championships (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987 and 1988), picked up another three NBA MVP awards (1976, 1977 and 1980), a record six in total, and was named Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 1985.

The 7-foot-2 who established himself as basketballs most talented and recognisable figure, player that graced a sport once in a lifetime retired in 1989.

Now focusing on a different kind of team, he chronicles, in his fifth book, Brothers in Arms (co-written with Anthony Walton), the 761st Tank battalion, on all-black unit that helped liberate dozens of towns in World War II.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was born as Lewis Alcindor in New York City.
