The article “Iran’s Rural Vote and Election Fraud”  by Eric Hooglund (who is professor of politics at Bates College, Lewiston, Maine, editor of the scholarly journal Middle East Critique, and an expert on Iran), is the most informed, and factual account on what is going on in Iran.

Somewhere in my files is a marvelous photograph of Adhmadinejad, impressive in unform and in the front rank of his comrades of the Basiji—their insignia, their uniforms, their hard facial expressions (all that is missing are the 1930s ties and field caps) which immediately recalls the SA Corps—the militia of the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, more familiar to us as the “Nazis” that preceded the SS, and played an instrumental role in the transformation of Weimar Germany into that most cruel and rutheless of fascist dictatorships.”
