Altaf Husain has contributed to the development of Islam in various capacities since its inception. He is a doctoral candidate in the Howard University School of Social Work, focusing on Muslim immigrant and refugee adaptation to the United States. He served one term as the Vice President for the US and two terms as President of the Muslim Students Association of the US and Canada (MSA National). Currently he serves on the Board of Advisers of MSA National and is a team member of COMPASS, the MSA National Training Program.
