Gray Henry-Blakemore Wins Alexander Russell Webb Award

Zaytuna Institute recently held a dinner in St. Louis at which Muhammad Alexander Russell Webb Awards were given to Dr. Waheed Rana of St. Louis and Ms. Gray Henry-Blakemore, director of Fons Vitae Book Publishing of Louisville, Kentucky.  This award is given in recognition of an individual’s service to the greater American society in helping its citizens better understand Islam.  Previous awards this year went to Muhatar Holland of The Muslim Literary Society , and Dr. Sulayman Nyang.

Zaytuna Institute has begun a partnership with Fons Vitae Publishing, a ten-year-old, non-profit publishing house, in an effort to provide a broader reach for Zaytuna’s books and journals. Under agreement, Zaytuna’s publications will be featured on Fons Vitae’s website and will also be distributed by Independent Publishers Group, which distributes books by independent publishers. Fons Vitae specializes in publishing works from the world’s great spiritual traditions. It has published more than 60 books to date.
