Munira Lekovic Ezzeldine is the author of Before the Wedding: 150 Questions for Muslims to Ask Before Getting Married. She has also written two Islamic Studies textbooks for the Bureau of Islamic and Arabic Education. She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at California State University, Fullerton. She has contributed articles to Azizah Magazine, The Minaret Magazine and Al-Talib. She has worked with youth groups for the last eight years, teaching classes and mentoring. She has spoken extensively about marriage and gender relations—which are among the primary concerns of American Muslim youth. As a Muslim woman raised in the U.S., she feels she can connect with the next generation of Muslim youth.
