Mona is a New York-based journalist and commentator.  She writes a weekly column for the Arabic-language daily Ashrq al-Awsat newspaper, one of ht emost influential publications in the Arab world.

She is also a frequent contributor to opinion pages in the US and abroad.  Her OpEds have appeared in The Washington Post, The International herald Tribune, The New York Times, and The Christian Science Moitor.
