Elqabbany, Moustafa ibn Mounir ibn Hussein

Moustafa ibn Mounir ibn Hussein ibn Hassan ibn Suleiman Elqabbany was born in Alexandria, Egypt and has spent most of his life in various parts of North America.  He received a B.Sc. with honours in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia, where he attended with a scholarship.  He was also awarded the NSERC scholarship for graduate studies.  Moustafa studied Arabic grammar with Shaykh Talal Ahdab and Shaykh Ali Hani.  He has also studied basic hadith terminology, logic, usool, and fiqh with Shaykh Talal.  His other teachers include Shaykh Khatri Ould Beiba from Mauritania, Dr. Nazih Hammad, Shaykh Alaa Afifi, Shaykh Hamza Karamali, and Sidi Mostafa Azzam.  Moustafa has been a teaching assistant for Arabic grammar and Shafi’i fiqh at SunniPath Academy.  In addition, he does Linux system administration and translation work for the SunniPath Question & Answer Service.  He currently lives with his wife and three children in Vancover, Canada.
