This comprehensive article, entitled “Hearts, Minds, and Money,” by David E. Kaplan, on the new U.S. strategy to manipulate Muslims from within in order to counter extremists is must reading for any Muslim in America who wants to know what is going on behind the scenes.  It definitely seems to connect with the issue of Religion Building and also with the issue of the U.S. Greater Middle East Iniative.  Note:  An article on the GME will be coming soon.

In the last issue we had an article Should Muslim Americans Be Afraid? and I believe that this article makes that question more urgent - depending on who is defining us.

America is concerned with its image in the Muslim world and this certainly won’t help.
